The Vision

Under Venetian skies, on one of our favorite holidays, we’re slipping away to say "fino alla morte" - until death. It’ll be a short ceremony at Town Hall along the Grand Canal. Just the two of us, the haunting atmosphere Venice, and if you’re willing, you! We’d love for you to be there in whatever way feels right to you. Maybe that means donning a mask and wandering the canals with us, or simply sending love from wherever you are. We're happy to share the first of our many adventures as husband and wife with the people who mean the most to us. But know, there’s absolutely no pressure, only warmth and gratitude.

The Plan

We’ll lock in a few key moments. The rest will reveal itself with time.
We’ll share what we know now and update you as things unfold.

Join Us!

First: It is very important for you to know that there is 100% NO PRESSURE to attend. We realize this is short notice and a hell of a trip to make. So if you can't swing it, we totally understand. That being said...

No Regrets Necessary

Second: We want this to be fairly casual. We're only asking for an RSVP so we can get a head count for dinner reservations.
If you'd like to be included for Thursday drinks and Friday dinner, please RSVP by September 1, 2025.
If you forgot to RSVP or have just decided, no worries - you can still RSVP.
We'll do our best to get you add you to the reservations, but you'll still be able to join us at the ceremony, around the city, and beyond!

Got questions? Recommendations? Feel free to join our WhatsApp community so we can all share plans, updates, and keep in touch throughout the adventure!
For those unfamiliar, WhatsApp is a free messaging app that lets you text, share photos, and call over Wi-Fi, great for keeping in touch while traveling abroad.

The Location

Neighborhood Recommendations

Our AirBNB is located at Strada Nova 4392 on the eastern end of the Cannaregio neighborhood.

- Ideal for: Authentic dining, wine bars, and proximity to the train station without the noise of Strada Nova
2. Dorsoduro
- Located in the southwest, across the Accademia Bridge
- Artsy, residential vibe with a romantic waterfront (Zattere)
- Vaporetto stops: Ca’ Rezzonico, Accademia
- Ideal for: Museums, laid-back cafés, atmospheric canal strolls
3. San Polo (Away from Rialto)
- Central but quieter if you stay off the main tourist routes

Some plans include international service or have it available as an add-on.MobiMatter is also a great source for international data service. For Europe, we'd recommend the Sparks 5GB ($7.49) or 12GB ($12.49) esim which gives you international high-speed internet connectivity at a great price. (If you're not tech savvy, you might want to just stick with your current provider's service.)

What to wear

Late October in Venice brings crisp, cool weather, often paired with foggy mornings, occasional rain, and a good chance of romantic golden light. You'll want to pack a bit of the following:

  • Light to medium-weight jacket (trench coat, leather, or tailored wool)

  • Sweaters or warm layers (cashmere, merino, or fleece)

  • Long pants or jeans

  • Closed-toe shoes (waterproof is a bonus)

  • Scarf (for warmth and Venetian flair)

  • Umbrella or waterproof hood

  • Optional: Gloves & hat for chillier evenings

For the Ceremony

Our theme is Venetian Gothic. Think moody elegance with deep tones like black, gold, burgundy, and plum. Whether you lean into the theme or keep it casual, there’s no strict dress code. Wear whatever feels good for a Halloween frolic through Venice. Bring your own mask if the spirit moves you. We’ll be picking ours out at one of the local shops!
